When I started this painting in March, Russian troops were on Ukraine’s border. Within days the ‘peacekeeping’ attacks began.

Clouds (soon to be smoke-filled?) hide blue skies and silhouette winter (soon to be bomb-blasted?) trees. But the sunflowers will persist. Ukrainians will prevail.
